Manon Santkin
Manon Santkin, born in Belgium, lives and works in Brussels. In 2004 she graduated after 4 years at P.A.R.T.S.. Over the last four years she has focused on the creation of projects as a performer, collaborator, mentor and advisor. She has a particular interest in investigating different aspects of performativity, questioning dance from a point of view close to semiology, and searching for appropriate frames of presentation specific to each project. She has been working in close collaboration with Mette Ingvartsen (Manual Focus (2003), Out of Order (2004), To Come (2005), Why We Love Action (2006-07), Where Is My Privacy (2008)) and with improvisation artist Salva Sanchis (double trio (2006), Variations in G (2006), Still Live (2007), Objects in mirror are closer than they appear (2008)). In the begining of 2006 she started a collaboration with Leslie Mannès on a project called By-products, meant to multiply the final products of their research. She is also participating as an advisor on Leslie Mannès' new creation, and as a performer and collaborator with Eleanor Bauer in At Large.
